Day 1 / Strasbourg, experience Alsatian « Tarte Flambée »

Arrival in Alsace, in Strasbourg. European capital and capital of Alsace, Strasbourg has a world-renowned historical heritage: the Great Island is for example classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.. Enjoy a workshop to make the culinary specialty « Tarte Flambée » and eat it on the spot with a delicious glass of wine. Visit of Historic Wine Cellar of Strasbourg Hospices, home to one of the oldest wines in the world.  If you like wine, history, architecture, the art of cooperage, you will enjoy visiting this underground urban wine cellar. Wine tasting. Boat trip to discover Strasbourg from a different perspective. You will sail past the European Parliament to the Cathedral surrounded by wonderful scenery. Check-in at the hotel for 2 nights, dinner.

Day 2 / The best of Alsatian gastronomy : Foie Gras, Pain d'Epices (gingerbread) and wine

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the visit of a famous Foie Gras factor to learn more about this French speciality. Traditionnal lunch including a menu made with foie gras and duck. In the afternoon, discover a craft production of gingerbread with recipes and manufacturing methods dating from the 19th century ! Visit of the museum and gingerbread tasting. Arrival in Obernai. This charming town is nestled in the foothills of the Vosges mountains. Its historic center, still contained within its walls, has a very fine set of medieval and Renaissance houses richly decorated with flowers. Free time and dinner.

Day 3 / Discover the Cuisine of Lorraine Delicacies : Mirabelle Plum, quiche Lorraine and macarons of Nancy

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Lorraine, a region that is steeped in history, full of culture and where plenty of French delicacies are produced and grown ! Stop by a local distillery to learn about the making process and taste a Mirabelle Plum Liqueur. Lunch. Arrival in Nancy, the pearl of Lorraine, one of the most beautiful towns in Europe. Drive up the town thanks to the little train and discover Nancy city-center including the breathtaking Place Stanislas (UNESCO site). Of course, you can’t visit France and not try (at least one or two) “macarons de Nancy”. Free time. Check-in at the hotel for 2 nights. Dinner in a famous Art Nouveau Brasserie to taste the delicious “Quiche Lorraine”.

Day 4 / Lunéville castle & secrets of beers

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to  Lunéville and visit of Luneville Castle, the “little Versailles of Lorraine”. Lunch. Discover a craft brewery and the secret to brewing the perfect beer! Visit and beer tasting. Return to Nancy and walking tour of the city center. The city is known for its impressive and grandiose architecture, an interesting mix of medieval and Renaissance styles. Dinner.

Day 5 / On the road of Lorraine specialties

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Toul vineyards. Côtes de Toul is an appellation for wines produced in the region of Lorraine. Delicate light pink vin gris, usually based on the Gamay grape variety, is the most important wine style. Guided tour in a funny vehicle in the vineyards and lunch at a wine maker’s domain. Next stop in Commercy where a factory still produces Madeleines the traditional way. Visit of the factory and tasting. Arrival in Reims and guided tour of the city of the kings of France coronations with no less than three UNESCO sites. There are exceptional sites there: the Cathedral, the Palais du Tau, the Basilica… But Reims is best known for being the city of champagne, Wines of Kings and King of Wines! Ckeck-in at the hotel for 2 nights. Dinner.

Day 6 / Day on the iconic Champagne Road

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Reims’ hills to discover the Champagne Road and the beauty of its vineyards. Dive into the rich culture of this region. First stop in Verzenay. This charming town steeped in history, which was partly destroyed during the First World War, boasts a mill on Mount Beef in perfect condition and a lighthouse on Mount Rizan, which now houses the Musée de la Vigne. Quick stop in Hautvillers, the cradle of champagne. Indeed, it is here that the monk Dom Pérignon discovered the champagne wine-making process! Lunch including Champagne. Arrival in Epernay and walking tour along the grand “Avenue of Champagne”, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Discover the “Coteaux Champenois” during a regular cruise on the river Marne between Épernay and Boursault. End your day with a visit of a House of Champagne and champagne tasting. Road back to the hotel and dinner.

Day 7 / Troyes

Breakfast at the hotel. Arrival in Troyes, a charismatic city with a medieval look. The city will seduce history lovers with its multicolored half-timbered houses, its narrow streets, its Renaissance mansions, its many museums and its beautiful churches ! Discover secrets of “ La Prunelle de Troyes » ( Troyes sloe gin ) which is made using its original recipe in a local  distillery. Lunch. Departure or free time to do some Shopping in the factory Outlets. End of our services.
