Program of your Kutzig daytrip

Departure from Colmar with the Kutzig, our red open-top bus (28 seats), heading towards Northern Alsace to Hunspach. Through its architecture, costumes, and traditions, the guide will tell you part of Alsace’s history. This typically Alsatian village will charm you with its beautiful half-timbered houses.

Continue to Seebach, where you will discover this charming village with its white half-timbered houses and rich floral displays. Lunch at a restaurant.

We head next to Soufflenheim, the potters’ village. A historical practice dating back to the Bronze Age. Today, about fifteen workshops continue the ancestral techniques and gestures: turning, slip casting, decorating pieces, glazing… The emblematic dishes of Alsace: kougelhopf, baeckeoffe, sauerkraut are prepared and served in Soufflenheim pottery! You will also find decorative objects rich in colors and patterns. Visit a workshop to discover the secrets of manufacturing, with demonstrations of turning and decorating…

Continue to Hoerdt, where you will witness the art of coffee roasting followed by a coffee tasting. The roaster Cafés Henri has remained faithful to the tradition of great coffee, sourced from the best origins and roasted to perfection using traditional methods. A passion for aromas cultivated since 1949… You will be welcomed by a coffeeologist guide and through a film, you will discover the fascinating world of coffee, from plantation to cup. A tasting of single-origin coffees is offered: under the guidance of our coffeeologist, you will learn to identify the flavors and aromas of exceptional coffee, freshly roasted using traditional methods.
